P90x: Make Up Days #2 and 3

So with each day I am getting closer to finally being done with this P90x workout,  I keep on wanting to do two workouts in one day, but i just cannot get myself to do it right now.  Tuesday I finished another P90x stretch routine, and it went very well.  At that time I had three more workouts to do, two more stretching and one more P90x core synergistic workout.  Wednesday I went to the gym with one of my friends and we did almost an hour and a half of upper body workouts.  It is weird going back to free weights after you have been doing resistance bands and push ups for awhile.  The workout was great and very challenging and I stick suck with any tricep exercise.  It was a lot of fun though getting back to the gym and lifting some heavy weight.  Today I did another stretch routine, I have not decided if I am going to do two workouts tomorrow and be done with it, or do one tomorrow and one on Saturday, I guess we will see how I am feeling.  My back is just now starting to feel better after my lower body workout I did on Monday night.  I did not injure my back, but it did fell like I gave it a good workout.  Alright so I only have 2 more workouts to finish in my P90x fitness routine.

P90x: Extra Day #1

Today was the first day of my make up P90x workouts, I had 5 workouts that I missed, 4 of them are stretching workouts, and you are probably wondering what is the big deal about making up the stretch exercises.  Well, the terms of the bet that I made specifically  say that I have to finish every workout, no matter what it is.  But today I got one of the stretching workouts out of the way, so now I only have 3 P90x stretch workouts left, and one P90x Core Synergistic workout.  I did a good job in my stretching workout today, and hopefully by the time I get done with the rest of the three stretching exercises this week I will BE THE MOST FLEXIBLE PERSON IN THE WORLD!!  I also went to the gym tonight,  I only went once last week, pretty much because last week was crazy with birthday parties!  Seriously I went to 6 parties for birthdays last week, 3 of them were mine own!  So I thought regardless of what happens today I need to go to the gym and run.  I went out to dinner with my sisters and their husbands and then spent a couple hours with my nieces, then I watched 24, which got over at 10, didn’t get back to my house until 10:30 pm, but La fitness is open till 12 am, so I had to go.  I ran a little bit over  3 miles and then did some lower back exercises.  It was a pretty hard to run though because I still had dinner in me and popcorn, but I made it through.

P90x: I am unofficially done!!

Today was supposed to be the last day of my P90x workout routine, which caps up 90 days of working out.  But there were some workouts that I missed, so now I am in the extra days that were alloted to me from the bet to make up.  If you do not know I made a bet with a couple of my friends that I can finish the P90x extreme fitness routine.  Since there were going to be a lot of holidays around the time I was doing the workout, they decided to give me 3 months and 14 days to finish the P90x system or else I had to shave my legs for a month.  Today, was the 90th day and I still have 5 workouts to do, I did have three but I kind of slacked off this last week.  So I need to make up 4 stretching workouts and 1 Core Synergistic workout, I will do a stretching workout on monday and then do two workouts for the next two days and finish on Wednesday.  So tomorrow I will be just doing my normal rest day, and my nieces are in town so I will be spending a lot of time with them tomorrow.  It will be tough to have to do four of the same workout in the next couple days, but it is worth it.

P90x: Day 88 – A couple more days!!

This has been the longest week so far!!  It had to be the last week that seems like it is taking forever.  I just have to do a couple more days of P90x and I am done.  After all this I am going to write a big review on the whole P90x workout, and talk about how much I liked it, if it worked, what I could have done better, and tips for anyone else who is looking to do the P90x workout.  I really do not have to much more to say about my workout today, it was just another day of stretching.  There is a lot of stretching in the recovery weeks, with P90x Yoga and P90x X Stretch.  I did do the workout in the morning today, I usually like to do it during the evening, because it’s just easier for me to stretch later on when my muscles are not so tight.  So tomorrow I will be doing my last Px90 Core Synergistics workout, and then on Saturday I have my last Yoga routine.  I still have to make up three stretching routines, because I slacked on those day, but I will do that on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  I am going to see Slumdog Millionaire tonight, I heard it is really good and it has been getting great reviews, so hopefully it lives up to the hype.

P90x: Day 87 – Running to the Goal

road-runnerToday is the 87 day of my P90x fitness routine!  Unbelievable huh?  I do got to be honest with you, this week has been extremely hard to be motivated for.  It is probably because I am coming to the end and I am anxious to get it over with.  Also it was my birthday last weekend, today is one of my best friend’s birthdays, and then Saturday it is one of my roommate’s birthdays, so I have not really been eating well in this last week of P90x.  I really have enjoyed the P90x workouts and I need to make sure that I stick to a diet, because I am the type of person who if there is food in front of me, I will eat it.  If there is junk food in the house I have a really hard time avoiding it, if it was not in the house I would not have a problem.  But since I live with 4 other guys, people seem to think that we need cake, cookies, and other goodies, so we do not starve.  We are known as the Bach Pad.  Anyways, I went and ran a few miles today instead of doing P90x Kenpo today, I also did some stair steppers today for around a mile and a half.  Tomorrow I am doing the stretching exercise. Oh yeah, I got to make sure I give a shout out to my friend…HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRETTANY!!

P90x: Day 86 – Hard to the Core

So today I did the P90x Core Synergistics workout routine, and let me tell you in the words of Tony The Tiger, this is a “grrreat workout.”  But seriously, in my opinion this is one of the best workouts that the P90x workout system has to offer.  There are some great isolation workouts, plus some great push up sections, which in the first push up section I did 40 push ups.  You also get to do these wonderful superman to banana rolls, it sounds weird but it does a great job in working out your core.  I feel like I have been running out of things to say about these workouts, because I have been writing about them for the past three months straight.  But if there is one thing that needs to be said about this whole P90x workout program is, you need to make sure that you eat well, that you stick to the plan, it is probably the most important thing you can do during this whole process, and it is probably the most failed thing in the whole process.  Which is sad, I chose a pretty bad time to do this workout, during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and my birthday, which made it extremely hard to stick to a diet, I too could have done a better job and could have gotten a lot more results if I stuck with my diet plan more.  I still got great results and I am extremely happy with what I have achieved, and maybe I am being to hard on myself, usually I gain 5 to 10 pounds of weight during the holiday and winter season, but this time I lost weight and kept it off.

P90x: Day 85 – My Recovery Week

Today is Monday, it is THE last Monday I will be having with the P90x system.  It is also the first day of my last week with the P90x home workout program.  I begin this week with P90x Stretch, stretching is always a good way to start off the week, normally I would be also going to the gym later on tonight to do some running, biking or stair climbing to get some cardio in, but I am still having parties for my birthday, which was yesterday.  My family is taking me out to the famous Claim Jumper restaurant.  I really, really love going to Claim Jumper, because the portions are so huge!!  Normally I either get the Back Back Ribs or the Filet Mignon, but I think I am going to get 16 oz Rib-eye Steak today, I have never tried it before.  I did have a really good stretch today, my hamstrings are still tight from all the leg workouts I have been doing, but after this last weekend where I hardly did any leg workouts I think I am going to be fine for the rest of the week.  Tomorrow I get to do the wonderful workout of P90x Core Synergistics, it should be a huge blast.

P90x: Day 83 and 84 – My Birthday Weekend

Soooo, I really did not get to workout this weekend, I did get to do a cardio exercise, so my P90x Kenpo is taken care of.  Saturday was a really fun day, although it was not my official birthday, I got to spend the day with a family that I really enjoy being around, then my friends took me out to dinner to the outback and they through me a party at my house.  When we got back to the house it was all decked out with ribbons and balloons and then we played bingo and ate some of the best cake in the whole world!!   Today, there was the Super Bowl, and despite not liking either team in the super bowl I actually really enjoyed the game.  I was rooting for the Cardinals because I hate the Steelers, and even though the steelers won, it was still a great game.  But my day was not over, right after the game I went to Seattle to meet up with my friends and they took me to this great restaurant called the Tap House Grill, it was really good, and the restaurant was just really cool looking.  They had a room that had pool tables in it, and it was not that expensive, they also had a great happy hour.  Pretty much I have the best friends in the world.  I also have splurged like crazy this weekend, not really sticking to my P90x diet, but hey it is my birthday weekend, I should be able to eat whatever I want, for now.
