Hi, I'm starting Insanity on Monday but I have a quick question I hope you or someone else can answer before then...

I cycle to work (4.5 miles, mainly flat), usually in about 17 minutes and I'm knackered when I get there (burning thighs)

Would I be able to still cycle (albeit slower) about 10-15 minutes after working out with Insanity?

I was thinking I was going to workout on a night, but we have 2 young kids, one of whom doesn't sleep well so stays downstairs asleep on me or my wife all evening and we live in a TINY house with only 1 room downstairs (not including kitchen) with only 7'x7' floorspace to work out on and I think I may end up waking him each night if he's a foot away from me

I wish even more people could write posts similar to this which are literally entertaining you just read. With the fluff flying about over the internet, it is extraordinary to read a webpage like this instead

I am doing the Insanity Workout. It is only Day 24 and I can see definition already. The fatigue has disappeared; I have more energy now and look forward to the workouts however, you MUST eat all the calories. If I miss a snack, for example, I struggle during the workout. Eating has become very healthy; I'm following the nutrition book. It's basically like the Weight Watcher's Meal Plan which I am following.
I am wondering what to do for Maintenance?

I have done a few of the 10 minute trainer workouts, and they are great! They are prefect for people with difficult schedules. The 10 minute trainer is not as extreme as the Insanity workout or P90x, but if you have any health issues it is still smart to check with your physician.

Hi,

I was watching all the insanity commercials and though I found it interesting, was concerned about safety. Your inputs that it is not for beginners and that since it is extreme, its better to check with your doctor; are very helpful.
The 10 minute trainer seems like a good package - saves time and sounds like it can be used by a beginner.
Do you have any inputs about the 10 minute trainer program?

SCStrat,

Diggin the blog duder! nice work. I've got a couple questions. I race Motocross and my biggest problem is I have a bad left knee ..strained my MCL. It's not torn so I can still do decent workouts on it I just can't do them for very long. with that being said, I'm in great shape i'm just maybe looking for something that will seperate me from the pack. how long are the cardio workouts? cardio is my weak point. i can't ride a bicycle and swimming is too difficult as well (movement my knee does). surgery is planned for feb next year. gonna have a scope done on it. with my knee not being torn I really don't want to push it and make it any worse than it already is..if that makes sense.

thanks again,
Ben

Thanks for blogging I love researching a product fully before I purchase. I was wondering if I could talk you into listing the exercises in the workouts as I can't really get the DVD's yet but would like to get started now. If I knew what to do I could mimic it and be ready to go past the warm-up when I actually get the DVD's. Thank you.
