It was nice to wake up today and know that today way a recovery day. Today’s insanity workout was called Cardio Core and balance. Even though this is a recovery workout, there are some workouts that really burn your muscles.

I really do not have a lot to say about today’s Insanity workout, because I think I have already talked about it a few times, but I did really enjoy today’s workout, mainly because it was only 37 minutes long. The Cardio Core and balance workout really does a great job in making you hold positions. I felt like the main areas that get worked out are the thighs, hip flexors, and shoulders. You thighs get worked out because of all the squats. You Hip flexors get worked out in a whole 1:30 section with each leg. Then at the end, while you are in a squat type position, you workout your shoulders for like 3 minutes straight. By the end you do not even want to hold our arms up.

Shaun T does make it apparent that this workout is not supposed to be easy, but it is not supposed to be tough either. You should not be feeling absolutely exhausted after this workout. IT IS A RECOVERY WORKOUT!

I woke up today remembering the feeling of how my body reacts to a Insanity workout. It has been a few weeks, but I know recall the soreness of it all. It still does not compare to the first whole week of the Insanity Workout, but I can definitely feel some soreness in my body. I do not mind soreness though, pain however sucks, but I am not experiencing any pain.

I did day 42 of my Insanity workout today, and it was the Max Interval Circuit. This is a very tough workout, they are all tough, but this one is especially tough. This is a full body workout…meaning…your whole body is going to be sore. There are some great lunge an squat workouts in the Max Interval Circuit. You do get breaks in this workout too! You get 30 second breaks between ever circuit. I make sure I have a lot of water when I do this workout, because it is an hour long. Water is so important, but you do not want to over drink, or drink ice cold water.

In this exercise, Shaun T actually threatens you…okay maybe not seriously…but he does say something about kicking your butt, and not playing around. Whatever he said, he meant it, because he really does kick your butt in this workout. I am really starting to look forward to the stretching portions of these workouts.

This is only the second day of being back, since my three week sick leave. My body is readjusting itself after being out of commission for awhile, but hopefully by the end of the week it will start feeling in shape again.
