The Enchantments
So I finally went on my Enchantment’s trip, and it was absolutely incredible again!! I had a wonderful time, did not have nearly the amount of blisters I had last year and was in better shape for the hikes. This year there were just four of us who went up, all pretty close friends of mine and we made sure to get the full experience of the Enchantments this year. We did little Annapurna and also Dragontail Peak, which is the second highest peak in the Enchantments. The view were absolutely amazing, and so were the cliffs!
Compared to last year, my lungs and my heart were in way better shape this year than they were last year. I felt super energized and ready to do any steep hike. Even after hiking out of the Enchantments which is around 6 1/2 to 7 miles my body felt super good! So I would say that all my workouts that I did to prepare myself were successful. I will soon be doing the Chalean extreme workouts pretty soon, and might even be doing the new Shaun T insanity workout at the same time. We will see how that goes, it could get pretty crazy, but I think I can do it if I really set my mind to it. I will probably restart the Chalean Extreme Program and do it for the whole 90 days along with the insanity workouts for the 60 day period, so one workout will be done before the other, but that will workout quite nicely. I will get my weight lifting in with the Chalean extreme workouts and get my cardio workouts in with the Insanity workouts. This is going to be tough! I will start another blog that is specifically for the Shaun T Insanity, but you will easily be able to find it through this blog.
There will be a few week break, or I might not start it until September, because I leave for Uganda Aug 10th and do not get back until September 2nd, but we will see.
